80% of postponed major purchases to be made within one year

An overview of when postponed purchases will be made in the United States.

One in two American adults under 50 have deferred a major purchase due to the COVID-19 outbreak, according to the latest data from Nielsen.

Plans to purchase major products, those over $500, have not been cancelled completely, though.

Almost 80% of 18 to 49 year-olds plan to make the postponed purchases within one year of restrictions being lifted, while 16% percent plan to make them within the first three months.
