To enhance the customer experience, Migros developed a mobile app that can scan a product via its packaging using the smartphone's camera, and then show product information, consumer reviews, nutritional values and recipes in augmented reality.

The mobile app, called Discover, is the first augmented-reality app that enhances the in-store experience and transforms products into an interactive communication channel. The launch of the app was supported by a campaign in owned and paid media.
