Vistara, an airline, started an educational campaign to make sure all of its employees received their Covid-19 vaccination.

Challenges and objectives of the campaign

  • Owing to the devastating impact of the second wave of the pandemic, anxiety among employees was at an all-time high.
  • Discussions between HR Business Partners and employees revealed mixed responses to vaccination- with some keen on getting vaccinated but anxious because supply was crunched and some reluctant, wanting to wait and gauge efficacy before getting their shot.
  • There was an overall lack of trust, fear of side-effects, concerns regarding safety, further fuelled by misinformation.
