Virgin Media O2, a telecommunications brand, launched the UK's first ever National Databank to help address data poverty.

Over 1.5 million homes remain without internet access, unable to connect with loved ones online, work and study remotely, or access vital digital services.

We wanted to create a long-term solution to address data poverty.

We launched the UK's first ever National Databank - like a food bank but for free mobile data - to tackle digital exclusion.

We secured 495 pieces, delivering 2.7bn OTS, with 100%positive sentiment. We reached 67% of the UK population 3.4 times.

Thanks to partners coming on-board Virgin Media O2 is on track to connect 500,000people by the end of 2025.
