US consumers among most concerned on privacy issues globally

An overview of Ipsos' Global Trends 2023 report.

The US was rated as one of the most highly concerned markets when it came to privacy issues, in a report from market research firm Ipsos. The study, which surveyed 48,579 adults aged 16–75 across 50 markets, posed the following statement to respondents: “people worry too much about their privacy online. I’m not concerned about what companies, or the government know about me.” The survey asked respondents to rate the degree to which they agreed with this statement.
