The latest forecast for UK advertising expenditure for the next two years is a sobering read. Growth for total adspend, at current prices, is predicted to be just 0.3% for this year and next, according to figures in the most recent Advertising Forecast, produced by WARC for the Advertising Association.

These totals are down from predictions earlier this year of growth rates of 1.9% for 2008 and 2.6% for 2009 - largely as a result of declining consumer spending...
