The state of mobile in SEA: Key trends in 2022

Among the key trends shaping the mobile sector in the region are video streaming, gaming and social media, according to the “State of Mobile Southeast Asia 2023” webinar hosted by data.ai.

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in lockdowns being imposed in various parts of the world, which led to a change in consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of the global mobile space.

Shopping, gaming and entertainment moved online from the offline space, spurring the growth of existing apps and spawning the creation of new mobile platforms.

In a webinar entitled “State of Mobile Southeast Asia 2023”, Michael Tai, regional team lead (SEA) at data.ai, touched on the key trends that shaped various mobile sectors in 2022 with some predictions for 2023.
