The entertainment trends taking marketers into 2023

Entertainment trends which reflect human needs, behaviours or truths are likely the ones with most meaning – and as a result they are the ones that should matter most to marketers, especially with so much uncertainty in the world.

The entertainment landscape has never been bigger, more diverse nor as accessible as it is today. And it will remain that way until at least tomorrow afternoon.

Today we can choose to see a gig by a Swedish band of virtual avatars or don a headset to pretend to be a cartoon cauliflower armed with a wet sponge and bazooka – or simply watch cat videos online. The variety and pace of change can make talking about trends a treacherous task – especially in entertainment – and no one wants to be a failed entertainment version of Nostradamus.
