Campaign Objectives & Challenges
Changing the face of men's health
The Movember Foundation is a charity that aims to tackle the biggest health issues faced by men.
When Movember started in New Zealand in 2003, their funding went exclusively towards testicular cancer research. Since then, they have broadened their remit into mental health and depression support programs.
As men often don't like to talk about sensitive issues like depression, Movember gives them a fun and distinctively male way to do it, by growing a moustache in November.
They are now the largest male focused charity in New Zealand.
Last year, we made a strategic shift to focus Movember's campaigns around mental health. This saw the charity experience their highest donations and participation in 7 years.
We wanted to keep the momentum we had experienced from focusing on mental health, that would give us traction heading into 2018.
