In April 2020 – during the height of the first COVID lockdown – YONDER was approached by the Solidarity Fund, in conjunction with Mthunzi Network and major retailers, to create a retailer-agnostic, mobile distribution system to get vouchers into the hands of the country's most impoverished citizens, who had been hit particularly hard by the pandemic.
