Snapchat ad revenue tops $1bn but weighed down by Apple's privacy push

Snapchat has announced strong advertising growth in the third quarter of 2021 but has called out "significant headwinds" that include Apple's iOS privacy changes that have limited ad tracking and "upended many of the industry norms and advertiser behaviors", according to the latest company report.

The social media company topped $1bnin quarterly ad revenue for the first time ever in Q3 2021, at $1,067m. While the 57.3% growth is a significant slowdown from the previous quarter, it is quicker than the pre-COVID growth rate and is in line with the Q3 2020 to Q1 2021 average....
