The New York advertising agency Smith/Greenland (S/G) created a stir with its controversial "Good Taste Is Always an Asset" campaign for Johnnie Walker Red Label scotch whiskey, which was launched in 1988. Barbara Lippert, Adweekadvertising critic, spoke out most vehemently against the campaign, twice devoting her "Adweek Critique" column to protestations against the campaign's "obsession with the derriere."
