Philips: Back to Rhythm

Philips, an electronics company, created awareness around a large killer in South Africa, cardiovascular disease, by creating a campaign that got the public to get their hearts racing and back in rhythm through cycling challenges.

FleishmanHillard worked with Philips to localise and drive Philips Back to Rhythm in South Africa to create awareness about the dangers of unhealthy lifestyles to decrease cardiovascular disease (CVD) incidents; get hearts racing to bring it back to rhythm through cycling challenges; and empower South Africans to save lives through basic life support training.

The campaign reached an estimated 24.6% of South Africans, participation targets were exceeded by 78%, 2,068 people were trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and life saving skills, and 25 automated external defibrillators were pledged to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of South Africa (HSFSA) - to...
