Malaysia Pavillion: Dubai expo

Malaysia Pavilion featured at the 2020 Dubai Expo as the first net zero installation to step out of the shadows of its regional cousins, and be perceived as a destination of choice for Global Green Investors seeking opportunities in Climate Change, GreenTech and Sustainable Innovation.

This is the story of how Malaysia challenged its Global South position, to attract Green FDI at Dubai Expo 2020. Home to the world's oldest rainforest, Malaysia took a rather brave approach to demonstrating its commitment to COP27 net zero emissions by bringing to life Dubai Expo's first net zero Pavilion that was built to last. A novel and immersive approach that helped generate 12X (worth $24.5 Billion) Green FDI as against the original target of $2.5 Billion. In process, firmly positioning Malaysia as a preferred destination for Green Investments within the ASEAN region.
