The Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area tops the list of the most-competitive employment markets in the U.S., and for the communications industry, DFW is even more competitive. Last year, the Professional Services sector led the way in overall job growth in DFW with 5.3 percent growth. Mid-sized communications agencies have been particularly affected, lacking the allure of working internally for household brand names like Toyota or AT&T, and unable to compete with the deep pockets of sprawling holding company-backed agencies.
