The Center of Disease Control (CDC) recently published a report that found U.S. suicide rates increased 30 percent in nearly every state from 1999 through 2016.1

90 percent of people who die by suicide have an underlying mental illness.2


The Art of Ending Stigma

Recognizing this health crisis and building off of its Dr. Guislain Award 'Breaking the Chains of Stigma' and Champions of Science initiatives - two multi-faceted programs that recognize the impact of science on humanity - the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson engaged Ruder Finn (RF) to launch a global campaign aimed at helping educate society about the biological basis of mental illnesses.
