Review of Q2 2022 attributed cost of sales (ACoS) on Amazon

A quarterly analysis of sponsored product ad performance on Amazon which enables marketers to assess consumer demand and the competitiveness of individual product categories, before allocating advertising spend accordingly.

More flexible workplace conditions and an increase in home-office set-ups helped the category of ‘Office Products’ to achieve the most ‘Attributed Sales’ across Amazon’s marketplace from April to June 2022, according to data published by Perpetua, a WARC sister company specializing in online marketplace ad optimization.

Attributed Cost of Sales (ACoS) are sales which result from Amazon shoppers clicking on sponsored product ads. ACoS is calculated by dividing advertising revenue by advertising spend. Perpetua has mapped out the ACoS percentages for the second quarter of 2022, across 21 Amazon product categories.
