OVERVIEW

QR Codes were originally developed by Japanese company Denso Wave to track automotive parts in on Japanese assembly lines. More recently they have been adopted by advertisers to allow mobile users to take pictures of a 2D Barcode using their phone's camera. The code is a virtual URL locked in an image; the URL data stored in the image links the user to a mobile Internet site, allowing audiences to quickly arrive at content and information. “QR” stands for “Quick Response".
