Visa and Ipsos formed a partnership to conduct research and understand mobile wallet usage across Europe, and develop a trusted, robust, in-depth view of the mobile wallet payment landscape to inform business strategies, product development and strategic partnerships.


Ipsos conducted research to understand mobile wallet usage across 9 European markets identified as strategic priorities for Visa.

The objective was to develop a trusted, robust, in-depth view of the mobile wallet payment landscape – something not achieved before - to inform both Visa's and its clients' business strategies, product development, and strategic partnerships.

Ipsos employed a 360-degree methodology consisting of four stages. Stage 1 desk research and immersion sessions with stakeholders to understand macro-drivers, market dynamics, and knowledge gaps related to mobile wallet adoption. Stage 2 quantitative research, surveying 9,000 consumers across nine European markets to gain insights...
