Ecover: “Steal Our Insights” – Ecover challenges the industry to take refillables mainstream

Ecover, the household product manufacturer, targeted fellow industry players in a campaign that shared insights into creating successful refillable products.


Ecover has been a pioneer in sustainable household cleaning since 1979. As well as developing more sustainable formulations and packaging, they have promoted refilling – enabling shoppers to reuse their containers, reducing the need for new plastic bottles.

This project sought to go further. Ecover wanted to catalyse widespread adoption of refilling, but knew that this ambition would take industry-wide collaboration..

This is the story of a unique, altruistic research project, carried out for the greater good of the sector. The brand aimed to share the insights as 'open-source', encouraging the sector to 'Steal our Insight' as a catalyst...
