Paper given at the International Media Research Society's seminar in Bordeaux, September 2002. Results from a survey among 31 media research users (presumably attenders at the conference: 8 were `users' and 18 `researchers', 12 from the UK, 13 elsewhere in Europe, 6 rest of the world).

1. Which types of media research are you involved with a) at all and b) do you use most often?

There's a distinct print bias in this sample, with over half involved 'most often' in print readership measurement. Few are regular users of online or radio audience measurement though that didn't prevent them from expressing views on the conduct or content of industry research in these areas.
