Summary
Despite the obvious negative climate impact, Norwegians have only cut 6% of our their food waste. Climate change alone as a motivation for change didn't seem to cut it. We needed a new angle. By taking advantage of what was on everybody's mind - the interest rate - we gave Norwegians a personal reason to cut food waste. At the exact same time as the breaking news of the Central Bank of Norway announcing their interest rate hike, we launched our campaign. All creative work and communication were linked to the possibility of cutting mortgage while cutting food waste....
