JHPIEGO: #NursesMidwife4Change – war cry for dignity of nurses

The Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynecology and Obstetrics (JHPIEGO), a non-profit organisation for international health, launched a campaign in India to provide a boost to the nursing sector through new appointments, better salaries, and enhanced social and workplace status for nurses.

SITUATION ANALYSIS

Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system as was highlighted during the pandemic. However, they work under stressful conditions, with low pay, poor career growth, and disdained social status. It's imperative that the government along with other stakeholders' reforms and transforms the nursing sector.
