Increased number of brands believe profit margins set to increase post AVN

This datapoint summarizes the expectations of brands in Amazon’s first-party program regarding profits margins and pricing trends in 2024.

Two-thirds of brands in Amazon's first-party (1P) program - where the e-commerce giant buys products from manufacturers and sells them directly to consumers - expect profit margins from the platform to increase or stay the same this year.

Such an insight was drawn from a survey by Stratably, a digital commerce analysis platform, with 100 respondent brands that are members of the 1P program. Of this group, 72 were participating in Annual Vendor Negotiations (AVN) - where Amazon negotiates trading terms with its suppliers and wholesalers - for 2024 at the time of the survey.
