IET: Making STEM stimulating

W Communications, a PR and communications agency, launched a campaign in the UK to entice a diverse Gen Z audience into careers they would usually ignore.

Overview

W Communications dragged an age-old institution into the modern world and made it relevant to a Gen Z audience. We did this with strong ideas but more than anything else we succeeded in tempting the world's biggest online game to work with our creative. Rather like trying to slip past security at an exclusive nightclub, we convinced a global phenomenon to allow an interloper to mess with its content and in doing so made the thought of a career in STEM stimulating.

Total budget: £200K (including agency fee)

In compiling a recent case for long-term, sustained investment in brand, we were able to support key marketing principles with numerous case studies sourced from WARC. It helped bring what could have been a relatively dry deck to life with recognisable brand successes from across a broad number of categories.
