Global TV media rate of inflation forecast to quicken in 2024

An overview of ECI Media Measurement’s latest Media Inflation Report.

TV media’s rate of inflation is expected to quicken this year, according to the latest figures from ECI Media Measurement.

After decades of steady inflation, the worldwide TV advertising market saw a spike in prices in the wake of the pandemic, registering double-digit inflation in 2021 and 2022, according to WARC Media data.

ECI reports that global TV media inflation dipped back to 1.3% in 2023, after prices deflated in the second half of the year in light of the now-resolved Hollywood strikes and a lack of major political or sporting events.
