Global consumer mobile spend already passed the $100bn threshold this year, with the third quarter of 2023 recording $33.6bn – a 3.7% year-on-year increase, according to the latest report from data.ai.
While Google Play saw consumer spend increase by 9.7%, iOS generated the most consumer spend at $21.2bn. Most of the growth came from non-gaming apps in Q3, continuing the trend where mobile spending in non-gaming apps was mostly fuelled by in-app subscriptions.
