The "Hush Puppies Classics" campaign, both to introduce a new line and to reintroduce the shoes to a younger generation, was initiated by the Hush Puppies division of Wolverine World Wide, Inc. The aim of the campaign was to lower the average age of the Hush Puppies consumer without alienating the brand's core market, to promote Hush Puppies as a fashion item, to focus on lifestyle advertising, and to attract better-tier department stores as retailers.
