In February, we marked the unveiling of the new look Admap by devoting that month's Focus to the Future of Planning. The centrepiece of this was an Admap Roundtable consisting of a group of wise planners who debated the big issues facing their discipline. The ensuing discussion linked the future of planning with questions over the entire future of advertising services, which subsequently sparked much animated discussion within advertising agencies.

Given the popularity of this Focus, it seems opportune, at a time when market research is being impacted...
