It should be easy to be healthy nowadays. Supermarkets are full of fresh food from organic to ready-prepared vegetables, the media are 'educating' us about what to do and what to eat, and surely the obsession with football is leading to more British people getting exercise through kicking a ball around.
However, it is all going horribly wrong, of course. Almost two-thirds of British adults aged 18–70 are either overweight or obese, many of us are suffering from stress, our teenagers and twenty-somethings are binging on booze, and so the list goes on.
