Falabella, a home and clothing store, reversed declining sales when it had to shut its stores in Colombia due to the COVID-19 pandemic by turning its sales people into social media sellers.

Objectives

  • When the 2020 quarantine started, we had to close 26 stores in Colombia, sending 3362 sales people home, and we only had falabella.com opened for any consumer. The only way to save this jobs was stopping the sales decrease.
  • A good salesperson is a good salesperson anywhere, that is why we gave them the opportunity to open their own falabella.com, a personalized link where they could earn a 5% commission on every sale made through their link. They became social media sellers.
