Just a few months after Accenture Interactive bought the independent creative agency Droga5, the consultancy has started working jointly with its new acquisition on brands like Harley Davidson, and on a global deal with Facebook.

At Cannes Lions 2019, David Droga and Accenture Interactive CEO Brian Whipple talked through the history of the deal, the genesis of which was in a joint pitch several years ago, and where it is now.

The story of Droga5’s acquisition by Accenture Interactive has been followed closely; there are several different estimates about what the consultancy paid, but most of which are based on talent agency and content company Endeavour’s recent IPO prospectus. Details in the document filed to the Securities and Exchange Commission show that Accenture Interactive paid Endeavour $233 million for its 49% stake in the agency.
