Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella discusses how the tech giant has transformed itself in the years since its founder stood down.

Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, had big shoes to fill when he took the top spot at the company in 2014. His emphasis early on, was quite different than that of founder Bill Gates and was perceived as controversial: Microsoft would turn away from going head-to-head with its competition in the form of Linux and Apple. Unlike his predecessor – who had a stated aim to put a “PC on every desk and in every home, running Microsoft software” – Nadella has a rather more nuanced view of Microsoft’s place in computing.
