India embraces influencer marketing

Indian brands, big and small, are embracing influencers for engagement and PR purposes.

According to the India Influence Report 2018, this year 92% of marketers in India are expected to launch at least one influencer campaign, and 62% of marketers will increase their budget for influencer marketing. According to the same study, Instagram and Facebook have emerged as the preferred social media influencer channels in India.

According Eiti Singhal, from the marketing and brands team at electronics giant Panasonic, influencer marketing has really evolved from being an ad hoc activity till just a couple of years ago, today it has reached a stage where they build an annual calendar around it.
