How P&G Latin America finds new connections through voice-activated AI

Procter & Gamble, the consumer packaged goods manufacturer, believes voice-activated technology can help its brands engage with consumers in exciting new ways.

The datapoints that are driving Procter & Gamble's embrace of voice-driven artificial intelligence (AI) include:

  • More than 500 million people use digital assistants at present, according to figures quoted by iProspect, a Dentsu-owned digital agency, with Amazon's Echo products and Google Home's line of devices dominating this space.
  • The number of users is expected to reach 1.8 billion by 2021, with Apple's HomePod and Microsoft's Cortana giving consumers two other options.
  • According to comScore, in less than two years, half of all searches will be voice searches. By 2020, Gartner predicts, some 30% of all web browsing will be screenless....
