Online marketplace eBay is putting artificial intelligence (AI) "front and centre" as it seeks to make communications with users much smarter, and help them more easily find what they wanted to buy or sell.
RJ Pittman, eBay's Chief Product Officer, told the Shoptalk Europe conference (Copenhagen, October 2017) that AI will have a greater impact on retailing than either the birth of the internet or the launch of the mobile phone.
