KONE, an international engineering and service company, promoted its AI-powered elevator maintenance across Europe by launching a campaign that allowed people to hear intelligent AI conversations.

Challenge, context and objectives

  1. While KONE had been a recognized leader in constructing new elevators, they faced an uphill battle in terms of how to generate excitement and promote a new segment of its service business.
  2. In maintenance, the competition had already announced their AI-related solutions and KONE wanted to establish themselves as a true thought-leader in the field, together with technology partner IBM.
  3. To compound the issue, terms like AI, IoT and cloud computing were overused, complex and understanding their real benefits was difficult for the audience.
