Overview

Euro Disney S.C.A. owned and operated the Disneyland Paris Resort in Marne-la-Vallee, France, east of Paris. Formerly known as Euro Disney, the resort's main feature was a theme park with some 40 attractions, 60 restaurants, and 50 shops. The complex also included seven theme hotels with about 5,800 rooms, the Disney Village entertainment center, offering concerts and movie theaters, and a golf course. In opening Euro Disney, the Walt Disney Company, which owned 49 percent of the resort, hoped to transfer the positive image of its American and Japanese Disney World...
