This paper examines the effectiveness of survey gamification techniques in Asia to see how cultural differences affect the way people play the games.

Introduction

On September 29th, 2007, the first episode of BÇŽi W→n Zhì Duō XÄ«ngwas shown on the Chinese TV station GhuiZhou TV. The show features a quiz competition in which contestants attempt to win 1,000,000 Ch Versions were also shown in Japan, Australia and in over 100 other territories around the globe. The game show, according to Television Business International, is the most popular TV contest and the runaway winner in terms of audiences across the world.
