METHODOLOGY

The primary information for this paper is drawn from a quantitative study conducted in Nigeria, Cameroon and Ghana, in the months of August and September 2004. In this study 4,823 interviews were administered face-to-face with randomly selected adults (aged 15 years plus) in the urban areas of the three countries.
