Before each technology, there is a human purpose - a motivation, a need. Since the dawn of time, human beings have invented technical solutions to address their needs. Those needs occurred as they lived their lives, following different scenarios. The deep need for mobility is at the origin of the wheel, just as the deep need for communication is at the origin of Internet. The Experience Crash Test has been developed to understand the most relevant life scenarios, in which a given technology could address a human need (if any), and to create a user experience based on the given technology. The main steps of the experience crash test methodology are:

  • To first de-construct a technological solution against a variety of life scenarios, creating experience bricks;
  • Then to work with potential users to evaluate each experience brick and redefine a relevant experience - an experience that addresses a need;
  • Finally, to assess the business value of the user experience.
