Samsung, a telecommunications brand, increased desirability among Indian consumers by partnering with news channel NDTV and replacing all their cameras with Samsung handsets, which were used to film its news programmes.

  1. SOV on TV was losing its credibility due to disproportionate media investments by host of Chinese brands in the handset category.
  2. Declining 'Premium Imagery' score vs iPhone in the top end handset segment.
