India Ranks 120th in Water Quality Index globally (NITI Aayog report). Nearly 70 percent of India's drinking water is contaminated. 73mn working days are lost due to waterborne diseases annually! These numbers are rising year on year and yet the penetration of water purifiers even in urban India is just a mere 8%. In fact, the year 2017 saw a new low in the category with a growth rate of just 2%. Aquagaurd the leader in this category, with high awareness, grew at just 3%.
