A year after its inception, the American Association of Advertising Agencies (soon to be known formally as the 4A's) and Howard University have launched the Center for Advertising Excellence (CEA).

The 4A's seeded the center in September 2008 with a grant of $250,000. Among the agency sponsors that have since signed on are Deutsch, DraftFCB, Fuse, Grey, G2, Interpublic, JWT, McCann Worldgroup, Momentum, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Group's VivaKi, and WPP.
