Daewoong Pharmaceutical created the 'Say Pain!' picture book as an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), improving the medical environment in Indonesia by helping people with developmental disabilities express their symptoms to family and medical staff.


What could a pharmaceutical company do to help the medical minorities in Indonesia? In 2021, 42% of Indonesians with disabilities were reported to have difficulty accessing medical services. In particular, people with developmental disabilities often cannot receive proper treatment due to their communication barriers.
