Corona, the beer, brought people the joy of a top-class soccer match at a time when COVID-19 prevented live games in Mexico.

Objectives

Corona México has always been alongside soccer in Mexico as the official sponsor of 8 teams and the Mexican National Team. Due to the pandemic, all soccer leagues came to a stop, and the population faced lockdowns and isolation. Corona was left without its most important sports property and sales occasion heading into the summer.

For the first 60 days of the pandemic ALL brand efforts focused on helping the population. COVID-clinics were built, gel produced, water distributed to marginalized communities, etc. Going into the 90-day stretch the brand had to provide one more thing. Bring people, soccer and...
