The Royal Australian Mint has a mandate to find new ways for Australia's national currency to add value to people's lives. To do that the Royal Australian Mint set out to create the Donation Dollar, the world's first legal tender currency designed to give not just spend. Built to create positive change, the core objective of the Donation Dollar was to change consumer behaviour and get more Australians, to give more, to more charities.
