While shoppers in the country are mindful of a product’s price, the company reported, they are also seeking products that help their personal and emotional wellbeing in various ways.

As such, the challenge for marketers is to find the right balance of appealing to customers’ pocketbooks and serving their personal needs around values like fun, pleasure and security.
