From the early 1940s until the mid-1950s, the B.F. Goodrich Company ran a series of performance story ads in national business and trade magazines, of which "Rubber Keeps a Motor Bus Singing in the Rain" was one example. Even though the ads had catchy graphics and engaging copy, the print campaign, which ran for 15 years, was notable mainly for its rock-solid consistency.
