Social media is officially defined as "forms of electronic communication (such as Web sites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (as videos)". For the purposes of this paper it is defined as the social networks whose audiences are measured such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, G+, Tumblr, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
